Chocolate (Heart) Brownies with Chocolate Ganache
Vegan, Oil-free, Gluten-free
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 20 min, Cool: 10 min, Total: 30 min, Serves: 9
Ingredients:
Brownies
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 cup vegan chocolate chips
- 1 cup plant milk (unsweetened)
Chocolate Ganache
- 1/4 cup plant milk (unsweetened)
- 3/4 cups vegan chocolate chips
- pinch of salt (optional)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
Brownies
- Preheat the oven to 350 ºF and get your silicone hearts baking pan ready.
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except milk.
- Then whisk in the milk until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared brownie pan and bake for 18 to 20 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Be careful not to overbake them.
- Take the pan out of the oven and place on a cooling rack for at least 10 minutes.
- Then invert the pan and place the hearts on the cooling rack.
- While the hearts are cooling, make the ganache.
Chocolate Ganache
- Microwave the milk in a Pyrex cup for 40 seconds.
- Add the chocolate, salt and vanilla extract (if using) and whisk until all chocolate is melted. If needed, microwave for another 30 seconds.
- Let the ganache cool down slightly, then pour it over the hearts and enjoy with a nice cup of coffee!
Note: If you have some ganache left over, you can spread it over your waffle or toast, or blend it with a cube of firm Silken Tofu and make awesome parfaits.
