Simple Almond Butter Brownies
Vegan, Oil-free, Gluten-free
Prep: 10 min, Bake: 15 min, Total: 25 min, Yields: 16 brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup almond butter
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1/4 cup vegan chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup almond slivers or crushed walnuts (optional)
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips to put on top (optional)
- 1/4 cup almond slivers or crushed walnuts, to sprinkle on top (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper or prepare a silicone brownie pan, set aside.
- In a large bowl, stir all ingredients together.
- Press the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- Place on a cooling rack and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
- Return to the oven for 30 seconds and take out again.
- Smooth the melted chocolate chip over the surface.
- Sprinkle the nuts on top, if using.
- Store brownies in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or wrap in foil and freeze for up to 3 months
